An-Noor School

The shura council at the Islamic Association of Raleigh in its May 9th, 2010 meeting is proud to announce the following:

  1. Approval of the report submitted by the shura appointed evaluation team.
  2. The An-Noor School is being moved from the pilot program to Permanent Program.

An-Noor Full Time Quran Memorization School's mission:

        To Establish an institution that will nurture a strong connection with the Book of Allah, the Glorious Quran, through its memorization, understanding and implementation, and will develop well-rounded future leaders who are guided by the Quran and Sunnah

Students will also receive regular curricular instruction through age-appropriate Math, Science, social study, and English Language Art classes. 

An-Noor tuition is $325.00 per month for one child, two or more children-$275 per child per month. Parents can apply for a scholarship or financial assistance  through the social and welfare committee if they are going through financial hardship.

An-Noor Quran Memorization School is now accepting applications for the 2010-2011 academic year. It has developed a unique program, tailored to the Quran Hifz and the  academic needs of the students and to meet the NC Standard Course of Study (NCSOS) requirements. 

The An-Noor school has opened admissions for grades 3 to 6 for the academic year 2010 - 2011. The students will study Language Arts, Math, and Science to meet the Wake County and the National Achievement Tests' criteria. They also learn Social Studies as an additional subject.

    Full time School Details:
  • For Grades Three (3) - Six (6) only
  • Monday to Friday (7:45 AM - 4 PM)
  • 4 hours of Quran
  • 3 hours of PE, Language Arts, Mathematics and Science

An-Noor Quran Program Summer 2010

An-Noor School is organizing two different programs to enhance Quran reading and memorization during the summer holidays. A weekend program and a weekly program to help accommodate the needs of the community. You do not have to be enrolled in the An-Noor School to attend these summer classes, they are open to all, admission is on a first come first serve basis.

Please take advantage of this opportunity and preserve the word of Allah subhanahu wataa'la by memorizing, understanding, and implementing the Holy Quran.

An-Noor Summer Weekend Program

The An-Noor Summer Weekend session will be held from June 12 through August 8 2010. The classes will be held from 9 AM to 11 AM on Saturday and Sunday. The period could be extended up to 11:30 or Noon depending upon the interest of the students.

Admission will be granted on first come first serve basis and is open to all, you do not have to be enrolled in An-Noor school. The applicant should be 5 years or older. There is no qualification criterion to join this program.

Tuition for the 1st Child is $200.00, 2nd Child is $150.00, 3rd Child is $100.00 and 4th Child: $50.00. The tuition fees are pro-rated to help siblings attend the classes.

An-Noor Summer Weekly Program

The An-Noor Summer Weekly session is also open to all. This program is also geared for students who plan to enroll in the full time An-Noor program in the fall semester. The classes will held from 8 AM to Noon Monday to Friday.

Tuition for the 1st Child is $450.00 and 2nd Child is $350.00

Qualification Criteria

  • All students with some Quran reading fluency can be admitted into this program.
  • All students will be evaluated for the Quran reading competency.
  • If we do not have enough enrollments to support this program, we cancel the program and return the fees
