About the Muslim Youth Coalition
The Muslim Youth Coalition MYC is the newly revamped youth program at the Islamic Association of Raleigh. MYC runs various projects and programs for youth between the ages of 8 and 22 and continues throughout the calendar year. Through its numerous efforts, the MYC strives to create a fun and Islamic environment for the youth.
Our goal is to create the "ideal Muslim." We hope to achieve this through our programs, which strive to nurture a sense of the following:
- Belief: Love for Allah (swt), Islamic Understanding, and Pride in Islam
- Self: Prophetic Character, Leadership, and Pursuit of Knowledge
- Community: Sense of Ummah, Outreach, Service, Family, and Attachment to Masjid
Youth Administrator Opening
The Islamic Association of Raleigh is actively seeking applicants for the position of a part time Youth Administrator. Please review the job description and send your resume with a cover letter to jobs@islam1.org with the job code of MYC-YA
Brothers' Programs
Activities for brothers ranging from elementary school to high school. These programs include Saturday activities and Halaqas.
Sisters' Programs
Activities for elementary and middle school sisters. These friday night programs are excellent for young sisters to have fun in an Islamic environment and make friends with other young sisters their age.
General Activities
The Youth Committee also sponsors other events at the IAR including Youth Day, The Friday Night Program and the High School Muslim Students Associations in the area.
Youth Program Survey
This survey will be used to see what the current strengths, weaknesses, opportunities there are in terms of the Youth Program and the Islamic Association of Raleigh. With your honest answers, we can continue to strive to improve our program to meet the needs of today's Muslim youth. Your answers are anonymous so please be open in your responses.
